Paddle through London’s oldest canal from Limehouse to Crate Brewery’s bar on the water’s edge in Hackney Wick.
An urban adventure in London. If you’ve never canoed before that’s fine. This adventure is suitable for anyone (18 yrs and over).
At just over 5km, the route follows the Limehouse Cut and River Lea with houseboats, warehouses, swans and other birdlife along the way.
On arrival we would recommend trying the in-house craft ales at Crate Brewery’s bar and their delicious pizzas (not included in the price of this adventure). Also for an extra cosy experience there is the very lovely bar/ boat called Alfred Le Roy usually found moored outside the bar.
Then it’s home via nearby Hackney Wick overground and rail station (2 minute walk away).
All our adventures operate according to Covid-19 government guidelines. This means we will maintain social distancing throughout the trips and launch you in a maximum of 2 socially distanced groups of 6 people. There are two seats per boat, so anyone booking as an individual will be paired up with another attendee. The seats in the boats are more than 1.3m apart and you won’t be sitting face-to-face, but if you are concerned about this please book in multiples of 2 tickets.
We will supply clean and dry kit for you to use and hand wash facilities and alcohol-based hand gel.
It is important that you arrive on time. Many of our events have strict start times in order for the itineraries to work. We will not issue refunds for late arrivals.
If your event is cancelled due to Government coronavirus restrictions, you can choose an alternative date, credit towards a future event or a full refund. Otherwise, we have a strict no refund or date change policy.
