Paddle through London’s oldest canal from Limehouse to Crate Brewery’s bar on the water’s edge in Hackney Wick.
An urban adventure in London. If you’ve never canoed before that’s fine. This adventure is suitable for anyone (18 yrs and over).
At just over 5km, the route follows the Limehouse Cut and River Lea with houseboats, warehouses, swans and other birdlife along the way.
Due to Coronavirus restrictions, we recommend you book your place at Crate Brewery for your arrival or try one of the other great bars and restaurants in Hackney Wick. These include Barge East; Number 90; Grow, Beer Merchants Tap, and Gotto – all of which are located at the end point of the adventure.
Bring some warm and waterproof clothes for this adventure and a waterproof jacket. Also something warm to change into at the other end in case you get splashed/ damp along the way.
There is a van to take your bags up to the end point which leaves at 6.30pm sharp. Please arrive 10 minutes before if you are booked on the 6.30pm slot and wish to have bags taken to the end point. We cannot be held responsible for your belongings.
All our adventures operate according to Covid-19 government guidelines. This means we will maintain social distancing throughout the trips and launch you in a maximum of 2 socially distanced groups of 6 people. There are two seats per boat, so anyone booking as an individual will be paired up with another attendee. The seats in the boats are more than 1.3m apart and you won’t be sitting face-to-face, but if you are concerned about this please book in multiples of 2 tickets.
We will supply clean and dry kit for you to use and hand wash facilities and alcohol-based hand gel.
It is important that you arrive on time. Many of our events have strict start times in order for the itineraries to work. We will not issue refunds for late arrivals.
All our events are non refundable and non changeable due the fixed costs we incur in organising them. You can find our full terms and conditions here.
