THE PLAN
See London as it’s meant to be, from the river. A one-way trip from Greenwich all the way to Battersea. Passing The Cutty Sark, Canary Wharf, Tower Bridge, Tower of London, Bankside and the Globe, St Pauls, South Bank, London Eye, Houses of Parliament, Lambeth Palace, Mi6 and Battersea Power Station amongst many other landmarks.
We use stable double kayaks with rudders, all kit provided and staffed by professional guides. The trip is for adults only (18 yrs and over). Please note: we recommend arriving 15 minutes before the start time as these events are time sensitive and organised around the tides.
Duration and finish point
Journey time is a good 3 hours, with the tidal flow making the trip suitable for all abilities including complete beginners. The trip will finish in Battersea next to St. Mary’s Church.
What's Included?
Price is per person in double kayaks and includes:
- Buoyancy Aids
- Paddles
- Lights when required
- Waterproofs (jacket and trousers)
- Professional Instructors
- Optional gloves
What happens to my stuff?
All your belongings are taken with you in the Kayaks. You’ll be provided with waterproof bags to put belongings in a small cabin in the kayak. Please try to avoid bringing things like laptops etc as there’s always a risk of these getting damaged.
What to wear?
Try to arrive in the clothes you want to wear on the water as there are no changing facilities at the start point and this will save time. We suggest comfortable clothes to paddle in – dress for the weather including a pair of trainers you don’t mind getting muddy. Bring a light snack to keep your energy levels up and a bottle of water to stay hydrated. We supply all equipment including good quality waterproofs. Also bring a complete change of clothes for afterwards.
