An adventure documentary film night at the beautiful St Anne’s Church in Limehouse on Saturday 12th November. Watch 3 of the best short adventure films ever made. Enjoy Cutty Sark whisky hot toddies from our at seat bar service and toast marshmallows around a campfire. Hot food is available from our street food trader (meat, vegetarian and vegan options available).
These films have won over 20 film awards combined and are listed below.
Film 1: Mike & Abbie
Mike’s world collapsed around him when he unexpectedly lost his job, relationship, and home. Despondent, he started driving around randomly. One day he happened to end up at an animal shelter. There he formed an instant bond with Abbie, a kelpie pup traumatized from having been abandoned on a busy highway. From that moment, Mike and Abbie started a remarkable journey of recovery together that centered on the beach.

Film 2: Chasing Monsters
Australian photographer Nick Moir chases storms and bushfires around the world. In the American Midwest every Spring/Summer, ferocious supercell storms and tornadoes wreak havoc otherwise known as ‘Monsters on the Plains.’ An electrifying short film.

Film 3: Maiden
The incredible, against-all-odds story of sailor Tracy Edwards, who skippered the first all-female international crew in the 1989 Whitbread Round the World Yacht Race.
Winner of over 15 film awards including a BAFTA and Critics Choice award. Film maker Alex Holmes. 97 minutes.
