Paddle through London’s oldest canal from Limehouse to Crate Brewery’s bar on the water’s edge in Hackney Wick.
An urban adventure in London. If you’ve never canoed before that’s fine. This adventure is suitable for anyone (18 yrs and over).
At 6km, the route follows the Limehouse Cut and River Lea with houseboats, warehouses, swans and other birdlife along the way.
On arrival we would recommend trying the in house craft ales at Crate Brewery’s bar and their delicious pizzas.(Not included in the price of this adventure). Also for an extra cosy experience there is the very lovely bar/ boat called Alfred Le Roy usually found moored outside the bar.
Then it’s home via nearby Hackney Wick overground and rail station (2 minute walk away).
Duration: 30 mins kitting out and briefing time, around 1.5 hours paddling.
Price is per person in double super stable kayaks and includes:
Bring some warm and waterproof clothes for this adventure and a waterproof jacket. Also something warm to change into at the other end in case you get splashed/ damp along the way. There is a van to take your bags up to the end point. We also have waterproof trousers we can lend you.
