The Plan

Paddle through London’s oldest canal from Limehouse to Crate Brewery on the water’s edge in Hackney Wick.

An urban adventure in London. If you’ve never canoed before that’s fine. This adventure is suitable for everyone.

At 6km, the route follows the Limehouse Cut and River Lea with houseboats, warehouses, swans and other birdlife along the way.

Once you arrive you can grab some well deserved pizza and beers onĀ Crate Brewery‘s beautiful boat. (Not included in the price).

Then home via nearby Hackney Wick overground and rail station (2 minute walk away).

What’s Included?

Price is per person in double super stable kayaks and includes:

  • kayak
  • Paddles
  • Buoyancy aids
  • Waterproof storage barrels for any valuables
  • Professional instructors
  • Van to take any valuables
  • Staff to take your kayak away at the end point

What to wear

Bring some warm and waterproof clothes for this adventure in case you need them. Also something warm to change into at the other end in case you get splashed/ damp along the way. There is a van to take your bags separately up to the end point. We also have some waterproof clothing to lend out.

Under the DLR railway arches in Limehouse basin (just behind Limehouse DLR). Come out of the Branch Road exit and turn immediately left. We’ll be easy to spot with lots of kayaks and your instructors ready to greet you. Nearest Postcode: E14 7JZ.
